I’m always giddy when a magazine with my writing hits the newsstands, but this one in particularly special.
“Why?” you may ask.
Because it marks two firsts for my career in one issue:
1) My first time appearing in Boho Magazine!
2) My first time having three articles in one issue!

Check you favorite magazine retailer for the Summer 2009 issue of Boho Magazine. On the hunt for my pieces? Here’s where to find them:
*** Page 20-21: An introduction to, and interview with, Nadine Curtis – founder of Be Sweet.
*** Page 38: Quick tips on how to tell if your wedding invitations are really eco-friendly.
*** Page 81: 5 tips on how to start your own plentiful garden indoors (& a cheerful mention of Gayla Trail and her You Grow Girl book).
This issue just hit the market a few days ago, so don’t be discouraged if you local store doesn’t have it yet … but keep calling them until they do.

Bought my new planner for the next year at my local Borders yesterday. Like the past year, I picked out a delightful, hard-bound “diary” from Paperchase. I’m looking forward to a fun and funky turoquise-colored year.

P.S.: Crappy camera phone pictures will soon be no more! My birthday looms on the horizon (turning 25 on June 11th) and the rumor is I’m getting a new digital SLR camera.

Nearly every design blog I read has posted about these already, but I can’t resist … they are painfully gorgeous! These show-stopping reusable fabric scarves won’t be available for sale until next month (June 2009), so start saving now to buy a boatload. I don’t know about you, but it would hard for me to give these away …

Your gift presentation should be as meaningful as your gift. Give Luck. Give Love. Give Wisdom. Give a lovely gesture with these reusable fabric gift wrap. Hand-printed on organic cotton with soy-based inks. Measure 28″ x28″. – from ChewingTheCud.com

Though they are intended to be used as gift wrap (known in Japan as furoshiki), Chewing the Cud’s designs remind me of my all-time favorite collectible: tea towels. I’d buy a few for gifts, a few for use in the kitchen, and a few to hang as art.

After spending 5th grade together in Indiana, meeting up in Connecticut by accident, and dating for 5 years, I am now married to the love of my life: Logan.

We tied the knot at West Hartford Town Hall on Tuesday, May 12th (our 5-year anniversary).

Hello, ahoy, bonjour, hej … and all that jazz. After much hemming and hawing, and a lot input from fellow writers, I decided to add a blog to my new website – which is what you are reading now!
As previously mentioned, Victoria-E.com will be live until July 2010. I’ll still be posting a bit over there, but by August 2009, that will stop. All of my writing, photography, and eco-consulting updates; shopping favorites; random thoughts; social commentary … etc will all be posted right here from now on.
Speaking of writing updates, my first collection of articles written for InnerRewards.com went online today! Please stop by and give them a read:
