I don't do enough refurbishing old furniture, but with the purchase of our first house/condo on the horizon, it is certainly something I will be working more into. I have heard of the process of green demolitions before (love it!) & have been to a few salvage places here in CT, but I don't think I've been to the one you are talking about - I'll have to visit. :)

P.S. If you don't want to get the feed via e-mail, you'll have to add the feed to an RSS reader (like Google Reader) and check it regularly to see if something posted. If you don't already use a feed reader for other blogs, it would be much easier to just get updates via e-mail.

Thank you, you are right, we try to live the reduce, reuse, receycle method for almost everything in our life, apart from love and compassion to share...
I love to refurbish old furniture...
PS: Did you hear of 'Green demolitions'? It's a company who removes old kitchens and bath and brings them to life elsewhere...what a great idea. I believe they are out of Conneticut! They also install what you choose to buy from them. At extremly reasonable prices.
Thought you might like to know, since your home shopping!
XX
Victoria

Where do I become a follower of your blog? Couldn't find the right button...
I do not want more e-mails... : )

Ahoy (fellow) Victoria! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and for the congrats on my marriage :D

I'm originally from Indiana, and farmhouses are often pretty sizable, but I've always found myself gravitating towards European-style ... everything, including house sizes. I live in northern Connecticut, so we aren't that far from each other. :)

Going green is all about starting small. Yeah, it would be great if we all could drive a hybrid, run on our own solar panels, and grow all our own food, but that is the ideal ... you have to "grow" into that (pun intended). The fact that you have started to go green is the best part!

I'm thinking they might be custom tiles ... but they are jaw-dropping all the same :D Maybe Sweden just had even more amazing designers than we all realize, hehe.

Congratulations on your marriage, Good luck and good speed!
I just saw that Swedish house at Desire to Inspire, and it surly did inspire me. I come from Europe where homes usually are not so large, but modern and well thought trough, it was a delight to see. My house here in Westchester County,NY is not big at all, that I don't mind but it is not very userfriendly and we do not have the means for an major update...but once we are there all will be green. So far we're trying to do all the small steps!
I love your approach to 'things' in life, have been looking at your blog quite regularly.
Take care and good luck with your home search!
