Baby Update: R.I.P.

Just like my baby announcement post, this update will be very simple as well.

As you probably deduced from this post’s title, I have had a miscarriage.

My husband & I are experiencing a wide range of emotions, but are confident we will try again in a few years when his military career is more stable & we can both spend more time with the baby.

Heartfelt thank yous go out to everyone in my personal life who has already heard the news & offers up their condolences.

Understandably, this blog may continue to be quiet for another week or so, but soon I will be back to taking photos, posting my opinions, and giving you updates about my book projects.

Oh, sweetie… I’m so sorry to hear this. :\ HUGE HUGS from the West Coast.

I can understand that you probably want to just keep to yourself for a while to grieve, but if you feel the urge/need to talk, don’t ever hesitate to email, IM, or call me. I love you and am always here for you.

I am very sorry, this is very traumatizing.
However, you are both very young and have ample time ahead to create a beautiful and loving family. Everything happens for a reason!

As a writer, there are few times that words escape me – but this is one of those times. All I can say is THANK YOU … every single one of you, for taking the time to comment and show your compassion about this situation. We had suspected for a week that a miscarriage might have happen. Today, we got confirmation from the doctor. The likely cause: the fact that after being on birth control (the pill) for 10 years, I was off for only 2 weeks before I got pregnant. It is a sad loss, but we are trying to take the experience in stride & learn what we can. In 3-4 years, we’ll try again after the hubby’s military career has begun :)

I’m so sorry to hear that, Victoria. In some strange way, everything happens for a reason and when your body is ready, a baby will be too. My thoughts are with you and I know you’ll keep your spirits up as much as possible through this tough time. <3

Thank you for your caring comments, Suzy. Everything DOES happen for a reason – I warmly believe that, so I try to take this event in stride & know there was nothing more I could have done. Standing tall, I move forward into the unknown. :) <3
